2. Right Concentration Even the most distracted person in the world can’t help but be mindful when they climax. The intensity of sensation quiets the mind and gathers your atten- tion. The next time you have sex, with yourself or someone else, set the inten- tion to get mindful about the moments leading up to orgasm. Feel all the sensa- tions—warmth, vibration, expansion, contraction. When you climax, taste that pure concentration. Stay with the pleasurable sensations after your orgasm too. 3. Right Speech Madonna said it best: “A lot of people are afraid to say what they want. That’s why they don’t get what they want.” Right speech is about speaking (and lis- tening) with honesty, clarity, and kind- ness. You can use that philosophy to ask for what you want sexually. I understand that it can feel scary to put yourself out a limb and tell your partner about your kinks and fantasies, but you’ll be glad you did. 4. Right View Good sex can go bad if you start grasp- ing and become attached. One way you can start to work with right view is to take a thirty-day break from tra- ditional orgasms. Keep having sex, but don’t climax. Greet the thoughts and feelings that arise with curiosity and acceptance. Notice the ways you’re attached to orgasm. Goalless sex is good sex.
