I know: this is a lot harder than it sounds, but it works. If the thought of getting through the next hour seems unbearable, then try to keep practicing through the next minute. If that is too daunting, commit to meditating through the next inhalation and exhalation. That extremely challenging time in my married life happened ten years ago now. And, actually, I guess I wasn’t in crisis on every level, because my spiritual life and faith remained intact.
